本剧讲述的小向璃子是在东京从事派遣工作，夹在能干的大女儿和自由人的三女儿中间，平均成长的小向家的二女儿。以祖父的去世为契机，小向家三姐妹聚在一起，时隔4年，全家人终于团聚。璃子在整理祖父的遗物时发现了做了一半的塑料模型，在祖父生前常去的“矢岛模型店”遇到了雅，在他的引导下，她开始尝试制作塑料模型。通过塑料模型，璃子对祖父和家人有了些许的了解，她决定在夏天期间留在老家，以弥补祖父的遗憾。
